COVID-19

  • What are the guidelines?

We’ve introduced several protection and social distancing measures to keep our team and customers safe.

  • How are we keeping you safe during COVID-19?

Prior to check-in, all guests are required to have a temperature check via a scanner. We also ask that you wear a face mask as per the government guidelines.

Due to social distancing guidelines, you won't be able to wait in the spa at this time, we ask that you only arrive 5 minutes before your appointment. The safety of our staff and guests is our priority, and we will need to deep clean each treatment space before the next appointment.

We're currently unable to take group bookings due to social distancing guidelines.

  • Will you be serving food and drink at the spas?

Unfortunately not at the moment. We encourage you to bring your own water, but we will be able to offer it if neccessary.

  • What is the payment and cancellation policy?

We are only taking card payments at the moment, you are also able to pay via gift card.

You can cancel up to 24 hours before your treatment without charge. If you're feeling unwell, please do not attend your treatment and let the spa know as soon as possible. Occasionally, we may have to cancel an appointment if no therapists are available, however we will try to provide 24 hours notice.

Spa

  • Is dermaplaning safe?

Dermaplaning is an extremely safe, non-traumatic method of skin rejuvenation. There is no more risk to the skin than when a man shaves his face. When performed by the trained practitioners of Skin Deep, the dermaplaning treatment is quick and easy.

  • Does dermaplaning cause the hair to grow back thicker?

No, the hair will grow back just as it was. There are two types of hair that grow on our bodies. Vellus (tiny translucent blond hairs) and terminus (thicker hair that grows under the arms, legs, pubic area, eyebrows,  mustache, and beard for men). These hairs are always one or the other - they are not damaged or altered by the process of cutting or removal. So after dermaplaning, both vellus and terminus hair grow back with their same characteristics.

  • How often should dermaplaning be performed?

Dermaplaning can be performed every three to four weeks. When "blading" the skin, about two-to-three week's worth of dead skin cells are removed. It is best to allow the skin to complete its normal cycle of approximately 30 days for regeneration.

  • Does leg hair grow back thicker after shaving for the first time?

Since hair on the legs is terminus hair, its structure is different from the vellus hair on much of the upper body, and is thicker. When someone shaves the hair on their legs, the tip of the hair is blunt, making an already coarse piece of hair feel thicker. Of course, add puberty into the mix and you will see plenty of changes within your child's physical structure.

  • Does waxing thin my hair?

Sometimes waxing can make the hair appear to be thinner, but it is really not thinner at all. Because waxing pulls the hair from its roots, the new hair grows in with a smooth tip, making it feel softer. But it is actually the same type of hair as before. It's only when we cut hair (any type of hair) that the hair grows back with a blunt cut at the tip.

  • How does micro-needling work?

Micro-needling and facial mesotherapy is most easily performed using a skin stamper. The skin stamper causes multiple tiny pinpoint puncture wounds to the dermis. This dermal injury induces the release of growth factors that stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin, which is the object of all skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatments. As with other resurfacing techniques, micro-needling creates dermal damage without the removal of the healthy epidermis. Because the epidermis is left intact, the healing period is rapid. The skin does not risk permanent structural damage, sun sensitivity, skin color loss or hyperpigmentation.

  • What are some of the benefits of micro-channeling?

    Some of the advantages include:
